Our tours are fun and educational, showcasing the history of DFW while sampling savory and sweet items from local artisan businesses. We take care of all of the details while you sit back and enjoy the ride, literally! From Uptown to Downtown, Oak Cliff, Oak Lawn, Highland Park, University Park, Deep Ellum, Lower Greenville, Plano, Grapevine and beyond, we have the inside track. Locals and tourists alike will enjoy learning fun facts, tasting unique goodies and perhaps doing some inspired shopping along the way.
Choose from chocolate or barbecue tours, ethnic markets, multi-course and progressive dinner themes and winery tours. We offer the perfect tour for you and your friends, family, co-workers and out-of-town guests! Because our tours sell out quickly, reservations must be purchased in advance. Please do note that we offer gift certificates,private events and team-building excursions for any size group. All tours are booked online and payment is made via PayPal (you can use any credit card; PayPal account not required for purchase). Once payment is received, your tour confirmation information will be e-mailed, with meeting place information following soon after. There are no physical tickets; your name will be called at the outset of the tour. Dallas Bites! and Dallas by Chocolate Food Tours: Fun, food and delectable destinations. Bragging rights guaranteed! Helpful Tour Information: Cost: Our tours range from $39.00-$60.00. If we have specialty tours, the price will be slightly higher. Capacity: Our typically chartered buses hold from 23 to 35 guests, depending on the tour Duration: Most tours last 3.5 to 4 hours Inclusions: We provide beverages on the bus, and tour locations provide generous savory or sweet samples. Allergies? Dietary Restrictions?: Please let us know when booking if you have any special dietary requirements (vegetarian, gluten-free, etc.) and we will make every effort to accommodate. What to expect: In short, our tours begin on a tour bus with beverages and head to 3-5 locations for samples, education, and shopping. Your tour guide will offer trivia, facts about Dallas and fun! Weather: Tours are held rain or shine. Gifting: We sell gift certificates in many denominations that are good for one year. You or the recipient can print them out and redeem them when desired. POLICIES AND FAQ'S
HOW MANY PEOPLE ARE ON EACH TOUR? We generally require a minimum of 18 people (sometimes less) and a maximum of 35 people, depending on the tour. Some tours, such as wine tours, may have over 30 people and we travel on a larger bus.
DO WE NEED A PHYSICAL TICKET TO BE ON THE TOUR? We will email meeting place information to you, usually 2-3 days ahead of the tour. There are no physical tickets mailed out. We will call your name at the actual event to verify your presence.
I HEARD THAT KIDS 5 AND UNDER ARE FREE--HOW DOES THAT WORK? We can take children 5 and under for free if they can sit on a lap. We do not have a way to restrain car seats.
CANCELLATIONS/REFUND POLICY: All sales are final. Tickets sold are nonrefundable and cannot be exchanged or rescheduled because we are guaranteeing your space at the event, and must pay for our bus and other expenses upfront. No partial credits or rescheduling is allowed for partial attendance, no shows, or late arrivals. The tour is held rain or shine. If tour fails to meet minimum enrollment, we will contact you to reschedule or offer a refund.
WHAT IF YOU DON'T MEET THE MINIMUM NUMBER OF PEOPLE TO HOLD A TOUR? Generally we require at least 18-20 people to book a tour in order for it to be a "go." It rarely happens that we need to cancel a tour, but it DOES happen. If that is the case, we will contact you and offer you the chance to choose another tour, or obtain a refund from us.
WHEN WILL WE RECEIVE OUR TOUR ITINERARY/MEETING PLACE? You will receive your itinerary via email about 1-3 days before the event, but can call 972-442-6963 or email firstname.lastname@example.org if you need the information sooner.
WHAT ARE YOUR POLICIES REGARDING TO GUEST BEHAVIOR?
Our highest priority is the safety of our guests. We will not tolerate behavior that is unacceptable in any way. Per TABC guidelines, if we feel that a guest or party is hindering the enjoyment of the tour for others, we reserve the right to call a cab or the police, or to ask that person or persons to leave the tour (there will be no refunds). We will confirm that those drinking alcohol are 21 years or older.
YES, WE DO PRIVATE TOURS...ANY DAY OF THE WEEK! Just choose a date and we can customize a chocolate, savory, wine or other tour for any type of group: corporate team-building, families, reunions, girlfriends and more. Minimum 20 people, maximum 56 people (depending on the tour), although we may be able to make exceptions.
